A wonderful, lean and flavoursome alternative to pork, wild boar is one of the UK's finest game meats. Try these steaks simply pan fried and served with your favourite sauce and accompaniments.
Pack of 2 Wild Boar Haunch Steaks. 180-220 grams per steak.
Remove the steaks half an hour before cooking so they approach room temperature. Heat olive oil and butter in a frying or sauté pan and cook the steaks for 2 minutes each side on a high heat, then turn the heat down low and cook, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature of each steak is 160F - about 12-15 minutes for large steaks, less for our tenderloin. Remove, set aside and rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
