  1. Remove all packaging,
  2. heat the oven to 160c/gas mark 3gas.
  3. Coat the wild boar in seasoned flour,
  4. heat butter and olive oil in a frying pan and brown the wild boar in batches, turning regularly.
  5. Place the browned wild boar in an ovenproof dish and add stock (vegetables/herbs to recipe).
  6. Cook for 1.5 to 2 hours or until tender.

    Wonderfully rich and tender in a slow-cooked Wild Boar Ragu. Perfect for dinner on these cooler evenings.

    One of my first purchases. The flavour and texture are both excellent. I made a rich gravy casserole containing the boar with root vegetables. Simply delicious for these autumnal days. Served with jasmine rice but served with mash would be fine too or herby dumplings. Next time I may add more paprika and fresh herbs.
